My virtual bicycle tour to Girona continues. Today I cycled from Rotenburg to Petershagen. The ride itself was nothing to write home about, straight road, nothing much to see. Good exercise though, 100km in less than 5 hours riding time. Headwind, of course.

Yesterday evening, I had a short walk in Rotenburg. The postcard above shows the main sights, some nice Fachwerkhäuser, some statues. And of course a Kneipe, for drinking beer. No pics of beer this time. You know what beer looks like.
I saw quite many windmills today. There are more than 30000 windmills in Germany, so spotting one is not difficult. The installed capacity is 61GW, quite impressive. I took a longer break in charming little town of Nienburg am Weser, which has its share of Fachwerkhäuser and an old, beautiful watertower.

In Petershagen, I found a room in Gasthof Bad Hopfenberg. Only 65 euros, so my budget did not break. I arrived late, so after quick shower and washing my riding kit, I had dinner in the hotel restaurant, outdoors, of course. I ate Senfeier, boiled eggs with mustard sauce and mashed potatoes. A classic German dish, great with Pils!

Tomorrow I will take it easy, only 30km to Bad Oyenhausen. In the morning, I will get to know Petershagen.
