Perjantai 14.6.2019 klo 7.54 Hamburg. A random hotel 🏨 next to the train station 🚉. Arrived after 11pm, slept 🛏 about 7 hours and soon breakfast and then train 🚂 to Malmö. No time for a pint of beer! klo 9.55 Again in this palace of climate friendly travel. Super busy as always. I love this place. Hopefully I can visit here many times each year. klo 10.31 Traveling by train is both more fun and less harmful to the climate. Between Stockholm and London trains emit 200kg less CO2 than flying. It is wise and responsible to travel by train. At least if you mind the living conditions of coming generations, i.e, your children. I managed to avoid some 600 kg CO2 by traveling by train to London, Paris and The Hague. Not bad. And I did have jolly time. All hills (hellingen) are hard, but the Koppenberg is ridiculously hard. But I made it to The top. From Wikipedia :” This climb is part of the route of the Tour of Flanders professional cycling race and feared by many because of its steepness (22% on the trickiest parts) and because of its cobblestones. Täällä on syksy. 11C, sadetta, kova tuuli. Minulla mukana kesäpyöräilyvaatteet. Jäävät kuuluisat mäet polkematta. Tour of Flanders -museossa ajattelin silti vierailla. Lepopäivä muutenkin tarpeen. 2,5 vuorokautta matkustamista ja 5 tiukkaa työpäivää uuvuttavat. Ensi viikolla jänniä tapaamisia. Ja tietenkin junamatka Pariisi - Haag - Hampuri - Malmö ja laivalla Suomeen. klo 20.16 Lovely! A cycling mad cafe restaurant in Tielt. With shirts of Cancellara, Lampaert, Gilbert hanging from then walls. And local beer 🍺, brewed in this small town of 20000 people. Tänään söin lounaaksi kalapiiraan (fish pie), joka oli yksi parhaista syömistäni ruuista ikinä. Tiistaina söin jälkiruuaksi bread and butter puddingia. Se oli myös erinomaista.
